Shuiab is co-founder and editor of Asian Image newspaper. Set-up in 1997with no funding the newspaper has grown remarkably over the past 12 years. It has continued to break new grounds with it's innovative style of reporting and investigations. It has also been at the forefront in promoting community understanding and relations by exploring issues that affect the heart of the community. As well as supporting the Fusion awards since their inception the newspaper has helped to organise a series of exclusive events throughout the region.
Mohammed Nawaz
Barrister at Law

Now living in Manchester, Mohammed is one of the leading barristers in his field in the country. He was called to the Bar in 1995 and has built up a very busy practice with a specific emphasis on fraud work.
Based at the prestigious Lincoln House Chambers he has been involved in some major criminal cases as well as several of the highest profile fraud cases in recent years.
He has continued to take an active part in community affairs and charity events across the region.
Supt Stuart Noble
Lancashire Constabulary

Stuart joined Lancashire Constabulary in 1990 and is now Superintendent responsible for Community Cohesion and Diversity across the force. During his career he has performed a number of different roles having worked in Southern, Western, Central and Pennine Divisions before his current posting at Headquarters. Amongst his operational commitments, whilst at Pennine Division, he led for the force around issues relating to young people. This work has since led into the development of the Children and Young Peoples Strategy for which his department is now responsible for delivering. A member of the Lancashire Community Cohesion Group and chair of the Lancashire Countywide Hate Crime Group he has developed close working relations with a number of key partners across the force.
Khalid Saifullah
Business Link Northwest

A respected figure in Lancashire’s business community, his early career was spent developing his family’s manufacturing businesses, Khalid was then recruited to lead the development of the Asian Business Federation which he led as Chief Executive for five years developing it as a nationally respected membership organisation. As Business Link Northwest’s Strategic Partnership Manager, Khalid is responsible for co-ordinating strategic engagement with stakeholders and partners across the county to help provide valuable business support, finance and skills for small and medium sized businesses.
Sheela Solanki
Youth Offending Team Officer

Winner of the Fusion Public Service Award 2008, Sheela is a member of the Youth Offending Team in Blackpool where she works with young people and their parents to prevent and address offending and deal with the underlying causes of offending. Her volunteer work has seen her take the role as chairperson of the management committee for Preston Women's Refuge. In addition to this Sheela works within Preston communities for the Preston Council's Preston Area Neighbourhood Dispute Action (PANDA) group and is a Board member of the Racial Equality Council.
